Lydia Ann Morris' Obituary
Lydia Morris, 66, of Albemarle, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023 at her Mother’s home with her family by her side.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 6, 2023 from 6pm until 8pm at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle. A private burial will be held at a later date.
Ms. Morris was born in Stanly County on August 14, 1956, to Nancy Farmer Almond and the late Julius Gaskin Almond.
Ms. Morris was a dedicated employee, and spent 33 years at Bethany Woods, holding many positions throughout the years.
In her free time, Lydia enjoyed gardening and especially liked sunflowers. She was an avid reader and loved all things Charlie Brown. She loved her grandbabies and never missed an opportunity to spoil them.
Lydia was one of the most selfless people and would do anything for anyone if she was able to. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
Lydia is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred David Morris and father, Julius Gaskin Almond. Left to cherish her memories are her mother, Nancy Farmer Almond; son, Christopher Morris and wife, Megan of Oakboro; three grandchildren, Noah, Silas and Hadlee Jay; as well as a dear cousin, Carol Mauldin and husband Lloyd of Albemarle.
Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle is serving the Morris family.
