Lucy Meggs' Obituary
Mrs. Lucy Taylor Meggs, age 76, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Davis Funeral Chapel, officiated by Reverend Shad Hicks. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mrs. Meggs was born on June 11, 1938, in Pulaski County, Georgia, a daughter of the late Norman Taylor, Sr. and Mae Bell Sorrow Taylor. She was a retired textile inspector from Dunn Manufacturing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Meggs, and a number of brothers and sisters.
Survivors include by a daughter, Bonnie M. Threadgill and husband, Dennis, of Monroe; two grandsons, Brandon Threadgill and Christopher Threadgill both of Monroe; two great-granddaughters, Alexis Threadgill of Monroe, Chloe Threadgill of Kannapolis; three brothers, Norman Taylor, Jr. of Bonaire, Georgia, Bobbie Lee Helm of Cochran, Georgia, Paul Taylor of Cochran, Georgia; one sister, Juanita Law of Bonaire, Georgia.
