Louise
Howard Gardner, 91, of Albemarle passed away Monday, December 23, 2019 at
Spring Arbor. A memorial service to honor her life will be held on Friday,
December 27, 2019 at 1 PM in the Sunroom at Spring Arbor. Rev. Joe Smith will
officiate.
Born December 13, 1928 in
Stanly County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Blanche Laughlin
Howard. She was a member of the Albemarle Wesleyan Church and a retired
employee of Wiscassett Mills. She and her husband also owned and operated Wink?s
Barbecue for over 20 years.
Mrs. Gardner was preceded in
death by her husband William Frank Gardner in 1991. She is survived by daughter
Debbie Frick of Albemarle, two grandchildren Kristy Frick Abernethy and husband
Jason of Mooresville and Steven Harkey and wife Michelle of Jamestown, NC, and
two special great grandchildren Brynn and Brooks. A daughter Wynnell Harkey
preceded her in death.

Baptist Church of Albemarle, 202 N. Second Street, Albemarle, NC 28001 and
Hospice of Stanly and Uwharrie, 960 N First St., Albemarle, NC 28001.
