Loretha Treece Mesimer, 87, of Norwood passed away Monday, September 25, 2017 in Bethany Woods Nursing and Rehab Center.? A memorial service to honor her life will be held 1PM Thursday September 28, 2017 at Memorial Baptist Church in Norwood with Rev. Josh Phillips officiating.? The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall immediately following the memorial service.
Born January 27, 1930 in Stanly County, NC she was the daughter of the late Claude and Alma Rogers Treece.? She was a homemaker and a member of Memorial Baptist Church.
Mrs. Mesimer is survived by her husband Bobby R. Mesimer of the home, sons Ray E. Mesimer of New London and Michael D. Mesimer of Norwood, daughters Wanda J. Mesimer of Albemarle and Bobbie M. Hatley of Norwood, brother Lee Van Treece of South Carolina, sister Melvia T. Maree of Stanly, NC, grandchildren Carrie J. Hatley, Taylor E. Hatley and Lee Ann Mesimer Naylan, and a number of nieces and nephews.? Sisters Lottie Poplin and Lavada Blalock and brothers Veron Treece and Paul Treece preceded her in death.
