To Mary and the family,
You have my sincere sympathy in the loss of Junior. We are all going to miss him greatly, but I believe that we also are all relieved that his earthly journey finally came to a close. Some of it had been a real struggle, but it's okay now. He would want us to be at peace with his death, and he would also want us to appreciate the good memories that we have of him. He would tell us to sit on his front porch and smile at each other and share all kinds of stories. He would tell us to remember the neatness with which he kept everything and to follow his example as we do our jobs well. He was a smart, very capable man.
I regret that I won't be able to be with you for the service, but my thoughts will be with you, and I will remain in touch. May God grant you the strength to get through the difficulties of the coming days and to rebuild life without Junior now. You have much for which to be grateful as I also do.
