Lois Cochran Almond's Obituary
Mrs. Lois Cochran Almond, 99, of Albemarle passed away Saturday, January 07, 2017 at Carolinas Healthcare Stanly in Albemarle. Her funeral will be on Wednesday, January 11, at 2 PM at Canton Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Mabry officiating. The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the burial in the church fellowship hall.
Born October 20, 1917 in Weakly County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Emison Edgar ?E.E? Cochran and Roe Myrtle Guffee Cochran. Lois retired from Federal Pacific Electric. She was a member of Canton Baptist Church where she was a member of the Morning Glories and Fellowship Sunday School Class.
She was married to the late Clyde Edward Almond. Survivors include one son, Neil Edward Almond and wife Jo of Midland, one daughter, Patricia Almond Hinson of Albemarle, two grandchildren, Julia Wise of Kannapolis, and Josh Almond and wife Brandy of Naples, FL, 4 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff of Bethany Woods Nursing and Rehab Center for the wonderful care of their mother.
