Linda Rebecca Helms McManus' Obituary
Linda Rebecca Helms McManus, 86, of Rockwell passed away on March 13, 2023 at the Meadows at Rockwell. Her funeral service will be at 11Am on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Mill Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Arval Rushing and Rev. Bob Sturge officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
Born January 30, 1937 in Mecklenburg County, NC, she was the daughter of the late William Clyde Helms and Addie Robinson Helms. She was a member of Mill Grove United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.
Mrs. McManus was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Franklin "Sam" McManus, Jr. in March of 2020 and a sister Jane Orr. Survivors include two daughters: Becky Broadway and husband Chuck of Rockwell, Wendy Steen and husband Brad of Rockwell; two grandsons: Matthew Broadway and wife Amber of Harrisburg, Drew Steen of Rockwell; two great-granddaughters: Brooklynn and Madison Broadway of Harrisburg; sisters: JoAnn Phillips of Harrisburg, Judy Allen and husband Jimmie of Concord; brothers: Lewis Helms and wife Avie of Concord, Gary Helms and wife Fran of Midland; numerous nieces and nephews.
The McManus family requests that memorials be made to Mill Grove United Methodist Church, 13659 Hwy 601 South, Midland, NC 28107.
