Linda Austin Huneycutt's Obituary
Linda Marie Austin Huneycutt passed away at her home on April 11, 2021 at the age of 72. There will be a public viewing on Friday April 16, 2021 from 9am until 12pm at Stanly Funeral and Cremation care of Albemarle. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
Linda was born in Washington, DC on October 8, 1948 to the late Margaret Alice Spoon Austin and Richard Daniel Austin. She worked as a baker, catered wedding events, created wedding cakes, as well as other specialty cakes that were enjoyed by many. Linda enjoyed gardening and working on her flowers, colorful birds and fish, listening to music, but most of all, spending time with her family gave her the greatest joy.
She is preceded in death by her son, Terry Gordon Huneycutt, Jr. and stepmother, Margot Nelle Cranford Austin.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, Terry, of 53 years; daughters: Sherry Hudson (Joe) of Albemarle, Angela Clark of New London, Karen Goodwin (Jeff) of New London; grandchildren: Joy Lee, Cameron Drye, Graham and Terry Clark, Savannah, Macy, Mary and Maggie Goodwin; great-grandchildren: Brooke Lee, Marley, Ashton, and Lila Drye.
