Linda Kay Harward's Obituary
Linda Kay Harward, 69, of New London passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021 at Atrium Health Stanly. Her funeral service will be held at 2PM on Saturday, August 14, 2021 in the Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care Chapel. Visitation will be held prior from 1-2PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory.
Linda was born September 13, 1951 in Stanly County. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Harward was retired LPN and enjoyed taking care of others. She also enjoyed crocheting and going to the beach.
Mrs. Harward is survived by her husband of 17 years Jerry Lane Harward; sons: Michael Hunt (Misty) of Norwood, Tony Hunt (Amy) of Richfield; daughter: Angie Smith (Joe) of Albemarle; grandchildren: Sara Hunt, Katelin Hunt, Dale Smith, Raven Hunt, Chance Hunt, Chloe Hunt, Zachary Culler, Emily Thompson, Abigail Yarborough; great-grandchildren: Brinley Medlin, Mila Medlin; aunts: Jackie Russell, and Janelle McSwain; uncle: Bill Russell; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother Sarah McSwain; her first husband Elmer Hunt; and her second husband Claude Huneycutt.
