Linda Russell Cox's Obituary
Linda Sue Russell Cox, 79, of Albemarle passed away Friday, December 16, 2021 at Bethany Woods Nursing Center. A visitation will be held on Monday evening, December 20, 2021 from 6 until 8 PM at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle.
Born November 17, 1942 in Stanly County, NC she was the daughter of the late Irenus R. Russell and Virginia Rummage Russell. She worked in the dietary department at Bethany Woods Nursing Center for many years. She was previously the pianist at Sweet Home Baptist Church for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Eugene Cox. Survivors include son Rodney Eugene Cox of Rockingham and daughter Sandy Cox Hunter of New London, brothers Buddy Russell of Ocean Isle, NC and William Russell of Stanly Co, four grandchildren: Miranda Cox, Morgan Cox, Jaitlyn Cox, and Rodney Austin Cox, and five great-grandchildren Cameron Tucker, Kamden McIntyre, Addison Whitley, Kamria Little, and Brittley Peacock.
