Linda Kay Bowers' Obituary
Linda "Kay" Bowers, 81, of Albemarle passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Spring Arbor in Albemarle. Her funeral service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Poplin Grove Baptist Church followed by burial at Stanly Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be held from 10-11AM prior to the service in the sanctuary.
Kay was born June 18, 1940 in Stanly County to the late William Monroe Owens and Pauline Davis Owens. She was a member at Poplin Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Bowers worked in daycare for most of her career and she touched many children's lives. She was affectionately known as "Miss Kay". Kay was a loving mother and granny and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Mrs. Bowers is survived by her husband Junior Bowers of Albemarle; sons: Steve Bowers (Crystal) of Albemarle; Todd Bowers (Tracy) of Albemarle; Randy Bowers (Krista) of Albemarle; grandchildren: Teryn Morgan (Miller), TJ Bowers, Jessup Bowers, Colby Bowers, Elizabeth Smith; and great-grandchildren: Parker and Miles Morgan. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Christy Kay Bowers.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Hospice of Stanly and the Uwharrie for the care Kay received.
