Lillian Starnes' Obituary
Mrs. Lillian Deese Starnes, age 83, of Monroe, NC, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017, at Woodridge Assisted Living in Monroe, North Carolina.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will be conducted at 7:00 PM Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at Davis Funeral Chapel, 1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC 28112.
Mrs. Starnes was born on April 28, 1934, in Union County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Earl Deese and the late Mae Deese. She was a homemaker. She was married to the late Minor Richard Starnes.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers Joe Neal Deese, Frank Deese, Allen Deese, Belvin Deese and Bill Deese.
Survivors include her daughter Patricia Starnes of Marshville, NC; her grandsons Henry "Junior" Ponds III of Marshville, NC, and Ricky Ponds of Monroe, NC; her sister Pearline Kelly of Wingate, NC; and her great granddaughters Macie Ponds and Kennedy Ponds both of Marshville, NC.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 5, 2017, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home at 1003 East Franklin Street in Monroe prior to the funeral ceremony.
