Liles McSwain's Obituary
Liles McSwain, 89, of Albemarle passed away Monday, April 18, 2016 in Spring Arbor.? His funeral service will be 2 PM Wednesday, April 20, 2016 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel.? Burial will follow in the Rehobeth Methodist Church Cemetery.? The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care from 12:30 until 1:30 prior to the service.
Born October 3, 1926 in Stanly County, NC, he was the son of the late Charles Parker McSwain and Fannie Mae West McSwain and was a retired masonry contractor.? He was a member of South Albemarle Baptist Church and a Veteran of the US Army.
Mr. McSwain was preceded in death by his wife Rachel Colleen Solomon McSwain in 2006.? Survivors include sons Keith McSwain of Oakboro, Mark McSwain (Nancy) of Harrisburg, daughters Carrleeta Lentz (Samuel) of Winston Salem, Sherry Ingold (Loy) of Concord, Melody Long (Wes) of Wake Forrest, and Nicole Williams (John) of Albemarle, brothers Ralph McSwain of Norwood, and Belmont McSwain of Albemarle, 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Community Hospice, 1024 Albemarle Rd., Suite 904, Troy, NC 27371.
