Leslie Ray Jordan's Obituary
Leslie Ray Jordan, 87, of Albemarle passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2020 in his home. A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30AM on Sunday, August 23, 2020 outside Union Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Monty Clark officiating.
Born August 7, 1933 in Johnston County, NC he was the son of the late Leslie Raymond Jordan and Nettie Elizabeth Pittman Jordan. He was an active member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church where he was a long time member of the choir. He was a veteran of the US Army. Ray worked for over 26 years with Sears, many as a store manager. Later he worked as a self employeed truck driver for his company Shadow Ridge.
Ray is survived by his wife Cleo E. Jordan of the home, daughter Lisa Watts of Huntersville, sons Lance Jordan of Locust and Lorne Jordan of Albemarle, sister Barbara Jordan of Goldsboro, and 5 grandchildren: Lane Jordan of Atlanta, Landon Jordon of Atlanta, Reed Thompson of Huntersville, Lindsey Rebecca Jordan of TX, and Brianna Jordan of Kannapolis. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 6 sisters.
