Leon Thomas Oxendine, Jr., 83, of Albemarle passed away Monday, January 23, 2018 in CHS-Stanly.? A private service at the Salisbury National Cemetery is scheduled for a later date.
Born August 21, 1934 in Pembroke, NC, he was the son of the late Leon ?Thomas? Oxendine, Sr. and Eiler Jacobs Oxendine.? He was a retired Plant Manager of Prestressed Concrete.? Mr. Oxendine was a member of Prospect Baptist Church.? He was a 7 year veteran of the US Army having served in Korea.? He enjoyed baking and cooking.
Survivors include sons Charles Oxendine of Selma, NC and Marvin Minoda of Newport, NC and daughter Frankie Jo Brandt of Atlanta, GA, 2 brothers, 5 sisters, 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
