Lauren La? Burris' Obituary
Lauren Shannon ?La La? Burris, 22, of Locust passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020 in Atrium Health Stanly. Her funeral service will be on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 2 PM at Mission Church in Locust with Pastor Ronnie Russell and Pastor Jeremy Hyde officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Locust on Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 PM.
Born April 4, 1998 in Mecklenburg County, NC, she was the daughter of Greg and Leslie Burris of Locust. She was a member of Mission Church and worked as a waitress at Texas Roadhouse in Matthews. Lauren loved the Lord and was known for praying with her customers in the restaurant. She was a former member of the West Stanly Players. She loved to spend time with her friends and going to the beach.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a sister Susanne Burris and a brother Garrett Burris and niece Ava, all of the home, maternal grandparents Susan and Bubba Weedon of Mint Hill, paternal grandmother Shelbia Shore of Locust, paternal grandfather Larry Burris Sr. of Charlotte and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins that loved her dearly.
