Laura Beth Garrett, a resident of Albemarle, NC, passed away unexpectedly on October 24, 2016 at the age of 44.? Born in Huntington, WV on October 19, 1972, she is survived by her parents Rhondda Norris (Ed) of Hendersonville, NC, Dan Garrett (Jo Ann) of Charlotte, NC; sister Becca Garrett of Isle of Palms, SC; her three children, Samantha Burnett of Ahoskie, NC, Michael Burnett of Concord, NC, ?Kathryn Thweatt of Albemarle; and two grandchildren Elijah and Norah.
Laura worked in various industries and capacities throughout her life.? She attended Stanley Community and was a full-time student at the University of North Carolina Charlotte studying history.? ?She loved growing flowers and gardening.?? She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, a special friend with a great sense of humor, and a giving person with a big heart.
Family will receive friends November 12, 2016 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon at ?Stanly Funeral Home, 1835 Badin Rd., Albemarle, NC.
