Larry Kenneth Williams' Obituary
Mr. Larry Kenneth Williams, age 68, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Jesse Helms Nursing Center.
He was born on October 1, 1946, in Union County, a son of the late Bruce Edward Williams and Maxine Griffin Williams, and retired from Vanguard Supreme. He was beloved husband of Elizabeth (Lib) Deese Williams for 28 years. He was fun loving and always willing to help. He was a fighter, a testament to the illness battles that he fought, choosing never to give up. He was also an avid race fan.
Survivors include his wife, Lib, a daughter Kimbra Hill of Monroe, a special aunt Joyce Earnhart of Concord, NC, a granddaughter Rain Hill and a grandson Slate Hill both of Monroe, and loving nieces and nephews. Additional survivors include: special brother-in-law David Deese, and wife JoAnn of Marshville, four sisters-in-law, Phyllis Griffin, Doris Deese, Pat Deese all of Wingate, NC and Lynn Deese of Black Mountain, NC.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Faulks Baptist Church conducted by Dr. David Richardson, and Reverend Phil McLean. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, 1003 E. Franklin Street, Monroe, NC on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Palliative and Hospice Care and the nurses and staff of Jesse Helms Nursing Center, Monroe, NC.
