Larry W. Watson's Obituary
Larry W. Watson, age 77 of Gold Hill, NC passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017 in the Carolina?s Continue Healthcare, Charlotte, NC.? His service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Richfield Baptist Church, Richfield, NC with the Rev. Tony Biles officiating. The family will receive friends at the Stanly Funeral Home & Cremation Care on Friday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Mr. Watson was born on February 4, 1940 in Mecklenburg County, NC to the late Coy Lee Watson and Virginia Marie Ross Watson and a graduate of Richfield High School.? Mr. Watson was a former owner and operator of Richfield Truck Parts Company and LW Watson Inc.? He was a faithful life long member of Richfield Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years.? He was a veteran of U.S. Army and a loving husband, father and grandfather and avid gardener.
Mr. Watson was married to Fran C. Watson of the home. Other survivors include two sons,? Kenny Watson and Kevin Watson both of Gold Hill, NC, one daughter, Kelly W. Farfour and husband Jeff of Weddington, NC, one brother, Ronnie Watson of Gold Hill, NC and one sister, Linda W. Wagoner of Gold Hill, NC, six grandchildren, Amber Watson Hatley, Chad Watson, Madeline Watson, Ross Watson, Parker Farfour and Madison Farfour and four great-grandchildren.? Also surviving is a large number nieces & nephews.
