I am so sorry to hear of the loss of my fellow rescue brother in arms.
I have know Larry for a long time working with him at Stanly Rescue and working calls when I worked for Stanly Co Ems back when the county took control from then Alton Simmons.
Larry knew the rescue business inside and out. I know he will be very missed in the rescue community as well as through out Stanly County.
I wanted to say I am very sorry for you loss. I would have liked to attended the funeral and pay my respects to a dear friend and fellow rescue worker. I didn't know a ting till the county alerted the rescue pager announcing his passing.
My God be with you and the family

Larry was a great man.great neighbor.love this man and family.
Larry was a cool guy; always a cool guy, like Fonzie cool. I remember the first time I saw him slalom skiing on Badin Lake while smoking a cigar. I was young and in awe. He also had the coolest dismount when finishing his fun. He would step off and out of the ski on the bank. He would just walk up the bank with the cigar in his mouth. I will always remember Larry. He will certainly be missed.

So sorry hearing of Larry’s passing. We met Larry after moving back to Albemarle in ‘06, during senior breakfast meetings at Hwy 52 McDonald’s. Larry was an enthusiastic person full of energy and ready to help anyone in need, and will be missed by many. Prayers for Elaine, his two daughters and Grandchildren during these difficult times. R.I.P my friend.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family and his friends. I pray that God and your memories comfort all of you at this difficult time
