Larry Wayne Carpenter's Obituary
Larry Wayne Carpenter, 69, of Albemarle passed away January 14, 2022 in Atrium Health Stanly. His funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle from 10 until 11 AM prior to the hour of the service.
Born June 26, 1952 in Stanly County, NC he was the son of Helen Carpenter Williams and the late Bennie Carpenter Jr. He was a member of Cross Community Church and retired as a Quality Engineer in Manufacturing. He enjoyed snow skiing and water skiing and golf He loved taking care of his five grandchildren.
Mr. Carpenter is survived by his wife of 45 years, Anita Fowler Carpenter of the home. Other survivors include sons Jake Wayne Carpenter (Jenny) of Apex and Matthew Garrett Carpenter (Katie) of Albemarle, brother Rev. Tim Carpenter of Indian Trail and sister Kathy Carpenter of Troy, five grandchildren, Graydon Carpenter, Hugh Carpenter, Brody Carpenter, Russ Carpenter, and Nora Carpenter. In addition to his father, a sister, Sandy Allen, preceded him in death.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to the Cross Community Church Building Fund, PO Box 965, Albemarle, NC 28002.
