Lacy ?Shorty? Carson Dry, age 72 of Misenheimer, NC passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016 in Carolinas Medical Center-Northeast, Concord, NC.? His service will be a Graveside Service Saturday, June 4 at 10:00 AM in the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Misenheimer, NC with the Rev. Bill Faggart officiating.? The family will receive friends at the church following the service on Saturday.
Mr. Dry was born September 30, 1943 in Stanly County, NC to the late Sam M. Dry and Gladys Poplin Dry and was a bridge construction worker, retiring from Lane Construction Company, Charlotte, NC.? He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and a member of the Sons of the Confederacy.
Survivors include one son; Lane Dry and wife Lisa of Richfield, NC, two daughters;? Gypsy Rodriguez and husband Michale of Ardmore, OK and Star D. Cagle and husband
James of Richfield, NC, and three sisters;? Judy D. Hammill of Misenheimer, NC, Libby D. Drye and Sybil D. Burleson both of Charlotte, NC. and six grandchildren.
