Kenneth Wayne Laney's Obituary
Mr. Kenneth Wayne Laney, age 77, of Monroe, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Jesse Helms Nursing Center.
A graveside service for Mr. Laney will be held 2:00 PM Monday, June 18, 2018, at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Rd, Charlotte, NC 28212.
Kenneth was born December 19, 1940 in Union County, NC, the son of the late Oscar Benjamin Laney and Beattie Montgomery. He was a truck driver who hauled produce cross country, and loved the open road.
Survivors include his sister, Margie L. Howard of Monroe, and sister Helen Ennis of Chesapeake, VA.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Colleen Johnson Laney.
