Kay Sherrin's Obituary
Mrs. Kay Segee Sherrin, age 79, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2015, at her residence.
Funeral Services to Celebrate the Life of Kay S. Sherrin will be conducted at 1:00 PM Sunday, January 11, 2015, at Oakland Baptist Church.
Interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Sherrin was born on April 30, 1935, in Tryon, North Carolina, a daughter of the late George William Segee and Edna Jackson Segee.She was preceded in death by her husband, Roddie Burnette Sherrin in 2002.
She was also preceded in death by two grandsons, Matthew Ryan Sherrin and Nicholas Mark Sherrin; and a brother, Wesley Allen Segee.
Kay was an assistant activities director with Guardian Care Nursing Home.
Survivors include four sons, James David Sherrin and wife Joyce Rape Sherrin of Monroe, Robert Burnette Sherrin and Donna McSheehan Sherrin of Monroe, Dale Lawrence Sherrin and Laurie Fox Sherrin of Conyers, Georgia, and Mark Anthony Sherrin and Paula McClellan Sherrin of Waxhaw.; a brother, Roy Walden Segee and wife Margaret Hamilton Segee of Charlotte; a sister in law, Martha Segee of Buford, SC.
There are 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Saturday Night, January 10, 2015, at Davis Funeral Home in Monroe, 1003 East Franklin Street.
