Katherine Diane Malloy McSwain, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017 in her home.? A memorial service to honor her life will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, September 23, 2017 in the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church with Rev. Bruce Gwyn officiating.? The family will receive friends on Friday evening at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church from 6 until 8 PM.
Born June 19, 1950 in Stanly County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Everette Bailey Malloy and Annie Ruth Nowling.? She was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church where she was very active in church life.? She was also a member of the Gideon?s Womens Auxiliary.
Mrs. McSwain is survived by her husband David Lee McSwain of the home.? Other survivors include daughter Belinda Sue Sturm and husband Brian of Lawrence, KS, grandsons Liam, Patrick and Caleb, and in-laws Warren and Judy Sturm of Charlotte.? Daughters Elizabeth Eilleen McSwain and Cynthia Ruth McSwain preceded her in death.
Memorials may be made to the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, Mt. Pleasant Food Ministry.
