Katherine Whitley Huneycutt's Obituary
Katherine Whitley Huneycutt, 88, of Oakboro, NC, passed away Monday, December 21, 2020. Her graveside service will be 3pm Wednesday, December 23, 2020 in the Oakboro Cemetery with Rev. Kinney Wallace and Rev. Keith Walters officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
Katherine was born May 1, 1932 in Stanly County, NC to the late William Harlie and Grace Barbee Whitley. She was a retired seamtress. Katherine was an avid reader and loved to cook. She especially loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends and her special nieces and nephews.
Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Huneycutt on May 8, 1997. She is survived by her children, Dorian Huneycutt, Raenae H. Little (David), Kelly H. Baucom and Rex Huneycutt all of Oakboro, NC; grandchildren, Nicole Austin (Lee), Travis Little (Jessica), Krystal B. Eury (Jeff), Karmen L. Carelock (Benny), Caleb Huneycutt and Derek Baucom; great grandchildren, Owen Austin, Sara Lanee Eury, Stella Carelock, Emerson Eury, Deegan Little, Kinley Little, Collins Eury and Millie Carelock and a sister, Jahala Whitley Thomas of Charlotte, NC. Katherine is also preceded in death by a son Ritchie Lynn on March 18, 2016.
