Katherine Johnston Harris' Obituary
Katherine Allene Johnston Harris, 79, of Monroe, NC, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023 in Brookdale Monroe Square, Monroe, NC. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2023 from 5pm until 7pm at the Rustic Dream Farm, 20224 Austin Road, Oakboro, NC 28127.
Mrs. Harris was born July 12, 1943 in Atlanta, GA to the late Benjamin Sloop Johnston and Melrose Harrison Johnston. She was the former owner of Streets of Larado Western Store in Indian Trail and Diamond H Ranch and Rodeo. She attended of Stanfield First Baptist Church. Katherine was a horse rider and she loved to cook and garden.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Roger Harris. Katherine is survived by a son, Darrel Watson (Tonya) of Locust, NC; two daughters, Donna Stewart (Brad) of Perth, Australia and Mechelle Watson of Garner, NC; brother, Ben Johnston of Harrisburg, NC and five grandchildren, Coty Brown, Max Weinstone, Ethan Watson, Jared Watson and Summer Stewart.
