Junior Cauthen's Obituary
Mr. Junior Cauthen, age 88, of Monroe, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at his residence.
Funeral Services to celebrate his life will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at New Hope United Methodist Church, officiated by Reverend Denise Kilgo-Martin and Reverend Aubrey Whitley. Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.
Mr. Cauthen was born on February 5, 1925, in Union County, a son of the late Quillian Lee Cauthen and Vista Montgomery Cauthen.
He was owner and operator of Cauthen Trucking Company for over 50 years and Cauthen Farm and Grain.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Verla Baker Cauthen; two brothers Roddy Laney and Keith Laney; a sister, Lois Hamilton; a son-in-law, Gary Aycoth; and a step-child, Jake Frazier, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Frazier Cauthen; a son, Terry Cauthen (Lynn); two daughters, Ann Aycoth and Dawn Cauthen Kirby (Steve); five step-children, Frankie Frazier (Kathy), Ruby Hayes (Larry), Harry Frazier (Lisa), Melissa Walker (Lin), Waylon Frazier; six grandchildren, Nicole Cauthen, Paige Simpson (Jordan), Erin Ray (Daniel), Todd Aycoth (Temple), Melonie Nance (Mark), Tonya Parker; six step-grandchildren, Jake Frazier, III, Matthew Frazier (Christina), Jennifer Dozier (Sam), Jarrett Walker (Blair), Jason Walker, Jenna Walker; nine great-grandchildren, Garian Aycoth, Kendall Aycoth, Colby Nance, Chase Nance, Treven Parker, Marcy Parker, Garek Parker, Myles Simpson, and Marshall Ray. He is also survived by a brother, Griggs Laney; seven sisters, Rotha Tarlton, Dorothy Little, Betty Chambers, Evelyn Deese, Carol Tucker, Pat Harper, and Donna Eubanks.
Virginia considered Junior the love of her life. His family loved him dearly and the community will miss him greatly.
The family will receive friends Friday night (December 6, 2013) from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Davis Funeral Home; 1003 East Franklin Street in Monroe.
