Judy Mauldin Smith's Obituary
Judy Mauldin Smith, 68, of Albemarle passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, February 6, 2017 at Bethel United Methodist Church in New London, NC officiated by Rev. Kevin McCormac. Visitation will follow in the church fellowship hall.
Born May 19, 1948 in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late James Lee ?Bo? Mauldin and Emma Dale Stroud Mauldin. Judy worked for Wiscassett Mill for many years and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.? She enjoyed playing BINGO, watching Food Network Channel, and listening to Elvis.
Judy was married to the late James Edwin Smith, Jr. Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Smith Stratton and husband Tommy of Albemarle and Melissa Smith of Norwood, grandchildren, David Smith, Brian Bonds, Jessica Bahner, Serenity McClellan, James Bruer, Eric Bruer, Judy Diane Smith, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a special friend, Irene T. Wilson. In addition to her husband, Judy is preceded in death by one sister, Linda Foley.
