Wanda M Doane
My Auntie was no doubt one of my best friends...and then she was my 2nd mom. I lost my mom 15 years ago and when I needed some "mothering" she was always there. There were many times we were just friends and that was ok too. I was able to love her and be with her on many different levels....lucky me ! She taught me to can pickles over the last year, hers were always the best, and now I can pass those pickles along to others, maybe one day I can teach someone how to make them as well, that way the memory goes on..her memory deserves just that, to go on and on! When I was a child living next door to her, I always wanted "Aunt Judy hair". Long, dark and shiny beautiful hair just like hers. My daddy wanted that too. Anytime I cut my hair as a child or young adult he would remind me...if you want Judy hair you better keep the scissors out of it. But indeed, over the years in many capacities, she was my "go to". So grateful for that..I learned much from her and I hope her time with me was pleasant as well. Love you Auntie, 2nd mom, Judy....many titles you had and many titles you answered to! I am here and will always try to keep in touch with your baby and gbabies. We discussed so often how they would be "afterwards". Well afterwards is here now and they are and will be just fine. Loving you from afar now Auntie...until we meet again...all OUR love from YOUR DOANE ZONE!
