Judy C. Efird's Obituary
Judy Connell Efird, 77, of Monroe passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Her funeral will be Friday, January 18, at 3 PM at Hopewell Baptist?s Legacy Campus with Rev. Lee Pigg officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 2 to 3 PM prior to the service. The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
Born August
25, 1941 in Union County, Judy is the daughter of the late Cagglee Connell and
Mildred Clontz Connell. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. Judy loved
watching Nascar and her favorite driver Dale Earnhardt. She enjoyed cooking,
gardening, and most of all, being with her family.
Judy is
survived by daughters, Gay Colvin (Bill) of Matthews, Wendy Melson of
Charlotte, son, Bryan Mullis (Cortney) of Monroe, and sister, Frances McCoy.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Erika Palmer, Hannah Jenkins, Judson
Melson, Cameron Colvin, Ava and Axl Mullis, and great-grandchildren, Saylor,
Berkley, and Wells Palmer, and Maddox Joyner. She was preceded in death by her
husband Jimmy Efird.
