Judy Barbere's Obituary
Mrs. Judy Ann Maggio Barbere, age 75, of Waxhaw, NC passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at her residence.
The family will accept friends on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM in the H. Vann Davis III Memorial Chapel of Davis Funeral Service, 1003 East Franklin Street, Monroe, NC, 28112. Out of respect for Judy and her family, masks will be required.
Judy was born on December 10, 1945 in Oklahoma City, OK, a daughter of the late Alex Maggio and Ruby May Upton Maggio. After losing her parents at a very young age, Judy was raised by her sister, Nora, and her husband, Frank. This experience instilled the importance and appreciation for family in Judy throughout her upbringing and adult life. She was a sweet and gentle soul who believed in giving all she could of herself to those important to her. Judy loved to bake, go shopping and country line dancing. She was also creative and enjoyed making handmade treasures for her loved ones. Known as always being supportive, encouraging and kind, she loved her family and friends more than anything. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Judy always put others before herself. After becoming a grandmother, she not only taught them the importance of family, but showed it in her unwavering support. She adored each one of them and always made the effort to attend every sporting or school event. Judy will be greatly missed, but her memory and mark on this Earth will carry on through her dear family and friends.
Those left to cherish Judy's memory include her son, Chris Barbere (Karen); her daughter, Deb Balducci (Chris); her three grandchildren, Daniella, Christopher Jr. and Mia; her sister, Nora Potter; her niece, Mary; her nephew, Dennis; and her dog, Roxie.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Allan Paul Barbere and her brother in law, Frank Potter.
