Judith Gorgoglione McLaughlin's Obituary
?Family ? where life begins and love never ends.? Our family is sad to announce the death of our heart, the center of our world. Judith ?Judy? Marie Gorgoglione McLaughlin, 74, was born on March 30, 1943 and died on November 27, 2017 following a long, brave battle with lung cancer. Judith was born and raised in Worcester, Massachusetts and lived in Webster until she and her husband moved to Stanfield, North Carolina in 1993. Though she missed her family and friends, she never missed the snow!
Judith?s favorite role in life was that of a mother, Grammy and even a great Grammy. She has four children ? Cheryl, Billy, Shanon and Jamie and one stepdaughter, Cheryl who gave her nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Raising, loving, providing for and protecting them was her primary role in life.
Judith loved to bowl, to garden and to camp. She also loved spending time just laughing with her family and enjoying time with them. Judith bowled with the Swinging Seniors in Matthews. She also loved to travel. Recently she was able to achieve a lifelong dream and visit her family?s home country of Italy.
Judith is survived by her husband Gerald ?Jerry? McLaughlin who stood faithfully beside her during this battle. She is also survived by her four children and their spouses: Cheryl and Warren Brown, William ?Billy? and Nancy McLaughlin, Shanon and Brandi Gonzales and Jamie and Debbie McLaughlin as well her stepdaughter Cheryl and her husband Scott Grehoski. She is also survived by her three siblings Patricia Wassel, Elaine Sarsfield and Vincent Gorgoglione Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents Vincent and Mary Gorgoglione Sr.
The family would like to express their deep appreciation for the care provided by Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County in her final days. In addition we cannot express enough how much the calls, visits, hugs, shared tears and prayers meant to her and to all of us.
Please join us in celebrating Judith?s life on Thursday November 30, 2017 at 11 AM at Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care Chapel. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 PM to 8 PM at Stanly Funeral Care & Cremation Care.
