Judith Carol Efird Kimrey's Obituary
Judith Carol Efird Kimrey, aka, “Ms. Cookie” 80, of Albemarle passed away on Saturday April 13, 2024, at the Taylor House, Albemarle, NC. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 11 AM in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Reese Linnell officiating. Burial will follow in the Aquadale Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Monday evening April 15, 2024, at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care-Albemarle.
Born March 24, 1944, in Stanly County, NC she was the daughter of the late Grant and Annie Efird. She was a member of Aquadale Baptist Church. She was a great Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. She loved shopping and was an avid Elvis fan. She loved to travel, taking cruises and going out to eat and especially loved to go to yard sales with Mr. Larry.
Ms. Kimrey is preceded in death by her husband Larry Brady Kimrey in 2019. She is survived by her daughters; Wanda Poplin (Kenneth) of New London, Debbie Holt (Michael) of Albemarle, Son; Larry Brady Kimrey II (Sherry) of Biscoe, six grandchildren; Shannon Hamric, Holly Poplin, William Poplin, Laura Carriker, Phillip Holt (Rachel) and Bradley Holt (Jessica), and twelve great-grandchildren; Maggie, Riley, Logan, Cameron, Liam, Gabriel, Nathaniel, Kielyn, Elijah, Kira, and Gracelynn, Owen. She is also survived by sisters; Patricia Harris (Terry), and Peggy Harris (Donnie).
Ms. Kimrey is predeceased by sisters: Gwendolyn Sue Efird, Claudine Simpson, Marlene Harris, and Shirlene Efird, and brothers; Billy Efird, Carl Efird, and Jerry Efird.
