Ruby Juanita Goforth Carpenter, 93, of Oakboro passed away on July 12, 2024 in Atrium Health Stanly. Her funeral service will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Peachland Gospel Tabernacle with Pastor Lynn Garris officiating Read Obituary
So sorry to hear about Miss Juanita. She was like a second mother to me and my sister. Knew her for over 50 years and she was a sweet kind God fearing Woman who loved her family and loved the Lord and will be missed. She will take a lot of pieces of peoples hearts with her. May the Lord bless and give comfort and peace to Julie, Joey and the rest of the family. With Love and Sorrow and our heart felt condolences.

Juanita was a wonderful friend for many years. We attended church together from the early 1970's through the late 1980's. As a teenager, I traveled to Athens Ga with the Carpenters for an annual church convention. What a time we had fellowshipping and also staying together at a local hotel! Harold and Juanita were dedicated supporters of The Praisers and accompanied us to various Gospel Sings over the years. Everyone loved Juanita's delicious cooking and I had the pleasure of "kitchen work" with her many times over the years at the Gospel Tabernacle. In honoring Harold and Juanita's special friendship at my wedding in 1988, I asked them to be greeters to the guests coming to the reception. When Dwight and I would come for Peachland visits with our 2 boys, it was always so great to see them and get hugs. Julie, Joey, and family, your mother was a wonderful, Godly woman who exemplified Jesus' hand extended with her love and compassion for all. Harold and Juanita are rejoicing TOGETHER once more! ❤️
