Joseph Edward Phillips' Obituary
Mr. Joseph Edward Phillips, 83, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. A native of Union County, NC, he was son of the late Hoyte W. Phillips and Fronie Baker Phillips and a retired truck driver for Lance Packing.
Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife, Grace Ferguson Phillips, sons, Donald Eugene (Kay) Phillips of Elon, NC, David Lynn(Mitzi) Phillips of Indian Trail, NC , Darrell Edward Phillips of Monroe and daughter Deborah Phillips Griffin of Monroe, NC,. Additional survivors include two sisters, Grace (Vance) Greene and Hazel Hargett of Monroe, six grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Phillips will be held on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 3 PM in Davis Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Frank Crump, officiating.. The family will greet friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.
