Joseph Lloyd Hatley,'s Obituary
Joseph Lloyd Hatley, Sr., 90, of Albemarle passed away on Thursday evening, January 21, 2021 at Atrium Health Stanly. A graveside service will be held at 2PM on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church in Oakboro.
He was born May 15, 1930 in Albemarle to the late Daniel Vance and Ida Morton Hatley. Joe was a United States Navy Veteran and served in the Korean War. Mr. Hatley retired in 1985 from Lockheed Martin in Marietta, Ga.
Mr. Hatley is preceded in death by his first wife, Rachel Gilbert Hatley, daughter Deborah Holbrook, his mother and father, and 7 siblings. He is survived by his current wife Ada Marcella Crook Hatley of the home, son Joseph Lloyd Hatley, Jr., 5 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle is serving the Hatley family.
