Joseph Suttles Burris' Obituary
Joseph Suttles Burris, 75, of Albemarle passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 in his home. His funeral service will be 2 PM Thursday, January 30, 2020 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park.
Born June 23, 1944 in Stanly
County, NC, he was the son of the late John Suttles Burris and Eula Belle West
Burris. He was the owner and operator of Burris Grading and Hauling and worked
for many years as a truck driver. He was a member of First Baptist Church of
Albemarle and was a veteran of the US Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.
Mr. Burris is survived by his
wife 51 years, Shelia Luther Burris, daughter LeAnne Burris Callahan and
husband Todd of Fuquay Varina, brother Jerel Burris and wife Patricia of Albemarle,
grandson Sean Patrick Callahan of Fuquay Varina.
