Johnny Luther Starnes, Sr.'s Obituary
Johnny Luther Starnes, Sr., age 44, of Stanfield passed away on Friday, February 20, 2015 at Hospice House of Kannapolis, North Carolina.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Davis Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Reverend Dallas Pressley and Reverend Donald Lisk . Burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Starnes was born in Union County a son of Luther Lee Starnes and Lilly Mae Pressley of Stanfield, NC.
He was a fork lift driver for Locust Lumber.
Mr. Starnes was preceded in death by his wife Leticia Carole Robinson Starnes.
Survivors include a son, Johnny L. Starnes, Jr. of Monroe, and a daughter Tiffany S. Arant (Adam) of Pageland, SC; two brothers Ricky E. Starnes of Stanfield, NC, and Larry Dale Starnes of Florida; two sisters Clara S. Watts (Ricky) of Pageland, SC, and Jackie S. Carpenter (Tommy) of Stanfield, NC; and one grand daughter Hanna Rose Arant of Pageland, SC; there are also numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mr. Starnes will be on Sunday evening from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Davis Funeral Service.
