Johnnie Lee Rummage's Obituary
Johnnie Lee Rummage, 82, of Albemarle, NC passed away
Saturday, February 8th, 2020 at his home. His memorial service will be Tuesday, February
11th 4:00PM at Bethany United Methodist Church with Rev. Nina Miller
officiating. The burial will follow at a later date. The family will receive friends at the church
following the service.
Johnnie was born February 12th 1937 in Stanly
County to the late Marvin Lee Rummage and Roxie Elizabeth Lowder Rummage. He was a graduate of Kings College. Johnnie was retired from Yellow Freight as a
dock foreman. He loved fishing with his
son Todd on Saturdays and hunting with his friends. He loved gardening and sharing his crops with
others. He was a member of Bethany
United Methodist Church.
Johnnie is survived by his wife Linda H. Rummage of the
home, son Todd L. Rummage (Leslie) of Richfield, NC , step daughter Lynette
Foster of Albemarle, NC, daughter-in-law Melinda Rummage of Columbia, SC,
grandchildren; John Michael Rummage (Rachel), Jack Rummage, step grandchildren;
Garrett Foster, Tyler Ritchie, Keith Dalton, Max Kinlaw, and Gantt Kinlaw,
great grandchildren; Winston Rummage, and Audrey Rummage. He is preceded in death by son John Michael
Rummage.
Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle is serving the
Rummage family.
