John will be so missed! I had the honor to work with John for a lot of years. He reminded me so much of my dad (maybe in the topic of politics and maybe in his stubbornness), but he also always made sure to check on me and my dad when he was very ill. From all that he shared, it was easy to see how deeply he loved his wife and his pups and clearly wanted to do the best for his family, whatever the sacrifice. John was steady and kind - definitely one of a kind.

John was a strong stubborn man who had a way of making the little bit brighter, a little bit better, a little bit more solid. He spoke with a quiet grace that I will miss terribly. I know that there is a team up there that a little stronger because of him joining. Stanfield is forever better because of his work ethic, dedication and strength.

Its deeply sad to hear of Johns passing . We have worked together for the past two decades and he's missed already.
John was a man who didnt need to fill the air with a bunch of words that were of no use . He said just what he meant and he meant exactly what he said . I used to call him the working man's southern gentleman .
He was deeply dedicated to family and doing whatever it took to take care of them .
He took up a space that can never be easily replaced . He earned a ton of respect and I was happy to give it to him . He always gave it back .
In the words of another southern gentleman..
I knew John Hill .
I rode with him .
I got no complaints.
