John Clarence ?Bud? Griffith, 84, of Albemarle passed away
Monday, April 22, 2019 in CHS Northeast, Concord. His funeral service will be 11 AM Friday,
April 26, 2019 at Main Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Fred Carpenter
officiating. Burial will follow in
Stanly Gardens of Memory. The family
will receive friends at Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle on
Thursday evening from 6 until 8 PM.
Born May 14, 1934 in Stanly County, NC he was the son of the
late Clarence Griffith and Ardis Casper Griffith. He was a member Main Street United Methodist
Church and retired as Assistant Fire Chief with the Albemarle Fire
Department. He was a veteran of the US
Navy and a member of Albemarle Lodge # 703.
He loved Walking Horses and loved attending Horse Shows.
Mr. Griffith is survived by his wife of 54 years Suzanne
Mauldin Griffith of the home. Other
survivors include son John L. Griffith and wife Julie of Albemarle and daughter
Kara Bennett and husband Andy of Caledonia, MS, three grandsons Hunter
Griffith, Brayden Griffith and Jasper Bennett.
A sister Martha Sanderson proceeded him in death.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor?s choice.
Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle is entrusted
with arrangements.
