Marty Dickens
To Debbie and all of John's family, I am so saddened that John is gone and also that I can't be there to honor his life at his funeral service. Please know that my heart is with you and I hold you all up in prayers for comfort and peace. John was probably the strongest man I ever knew, not just in physical strength, but also in the strength of his generosity, kindness and willingness to jump in and help wherever and whenever he could. I will be forever grateful for all he did for me and especially for the kindnesses he paid to my mom in helping her with so many things around her house. Thank you for sharing John and sacrificing your time with him so he could serve so many others through the Guard and all that he did to share his talents for being able to fix just about anything. I think one of my favorite memories of John will be the sound of his laugh... It was so genuine and his joy in life always rang through. His was a life well lived and I hope it is of some comfort to all of his family to know what a difference he made in the lives of so many others. May God hold you in His loving hands until you are reunited with John.
