John Lee Cody's Obituary
Mr. John Lee Cody, age 61, of Wingate, North Carolina, passed away Friday, January 24, 2014, at his residence.
Funeral Services to celebrate the life of John Lee Cody will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow at the Wingate City Cemetery.
Mr. Cody was born on November 15, 1952, in Salisbury, North Carolina, a son of the late Booker T. Cody and Magelene Wilson Cody.
He was employed with the State of North Carolina, as a field mechanic.
He was also a US Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Margarita Grimes Cody of Wingate, NC; a son, Bryant P. Cody of Germantown, NC; three brothers, Samuel Cody and wife Maria of Winston-Salem,NC, Floyd Cody of Mineral Springs,NC and Edward Cody of Washington, DC; four sisters, Brida Wilkins of Mocksville, NC, Dianna Cody of Salisbury, NC, Mary Ann Cody of Winston-Salem, NC and Debby Cody of North Carolina.
There are two grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Saturday, February 1, 2014, prior to the ceremony at Davis Funeral Home, 1003 East Franklin Street.
