Jimmie ?Max? Hudson,'s Obituary
Jimmie ?Max? Hudson, Sr., 78, of Albemarle passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016 in Stanly Regional Medical Center.? His funeral will be 2 PM Wednesday, February 24, 2016 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ron Dry officiating.? Burial will follow in the Bethesda Cemetery.? The family will receive friends at Stanly Funeral Home from 12 Noon until 1:30 on Wednesday prior to the hour of the service.
Born August 20, 1937 in Stanly County, NC, he was the son of the late J. D. ?Jay? Hudson and Esther Hinson Hudson and was a retired homebuilder.? Mr. Hudson was a member of Bethesda Methodist Church and was also a member of the Lion?s Club, and Toastmasters.? He was a real estate agent and auctioneer and his hobby was rebuilding old cars.
Mr. Hudson is survived by his wife Betty Kendall Hudson with whom he would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Feb 26th of this month.? Other survivors include son Jimmie Max Hudson Jr. and wife Fran of Albemarle, daughter Cathy Hudson Simpson and fianc?e Dale Cox of Norwood, brother John Hudson of Albemarle, sister Pat Caudle of Albemarle, grandchildren Dustin Simpson and wife Christy, Jennifer Frashuer and husband Joey, and great-grandchildren John and Jack Frashuer and Lakelyn Simpson.
The family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of Stanly and the Uwharrie, 960 N. First St., Albemarle, NC 28001.
