Jill Miller's Obituary
Jill Louise (Bradley) Miller passed away on October 4, 2014 at Autumn Care Nursing and Rehabilitation facility in Marshville, NC. She was born on April 19, 1939 in Greenwich, CT to Jay and Lovetra Bradley.
Jill grew up in Greenwich, CT and graduated from Greenwich High School in 1957. After high school, she attended the Nursing School at Greenwich Hospital in Greenwich, CT where she received her diploma in nursing. Jill went on to work as a Registered Nurse for more than 35 years in various health care facilities including Greenwich Hospital, Danbury Hospital and Danbury Pavilion. Jill had a love of learning and returned to college as an adult where she earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing from Western Connecticut State University in May 1990.
Jill was an active and dedicated member of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Danbury, CT. She enjoyed watching movies, reading, listening to music, walking, knitting, and spending time with friends, family and her cats. She loved the beaches of Cape Cod, MA and Ferry Beach, ME. She was an avid UCONN Huskies Women's Basketball fan and enjoyed following the team each year.
Jill was preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Lovetra Bradley, and by her brother, Peter Bradley of Stockton, CA.
Jill is survived by her sons Mark (Kavin) Miller of Ireland and Charles (Karen) Miller of Centerville, OH; her daughters Marghan (Kevin) Curry of Phoenix, AZ and Kristi (Daniel) Seiter of Waxhaw, NC; her brother Jay Bradley of Springfield, MO; her sister Jayne Marcucella of Quincy, MA; her grandchildren Thea, Eric, Maggie, Sarah, Ellie, Teddy, Matthew, Rory and Abby; and her nieces and nephews.
A "Celebration of Life" memorial service will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Danbury, 24 Clapboard Ridge Road, Danbury, CT, on Monday, October 27, 2014, from 3-4:30pm. Officiating will be Reverend Peggy Block, Community Minister of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Danbury. Light refreshments will follow. Jill's ashes will be spread off her favorite beach in Cape Cod, MA at a later date.
