Jessie ?Diddle? Rose Miller Broughton, age 87 of New London, N.C. passed away October 11, 2016 at the Carolinas Health Care System-Stanly, Albemarle, N.C .? Her?Graveside Service will be at 11:00 AM Friday, October 14, 2016 in the Prospect Baptist?Church Cemetery, Albemarle, NC with the Rev. Dr. Darrell Huneycutt officiating.? There?will be no formal visitation.
Mrs. Broughton was born February 2, 1919 in Stanly County, NC to the late Charles?Augusta Miller and Mary Florence Treece Miller and a graduate of ?New London High?School.? She was a retired employee of Wiscassett Mill Company and a member of?Prospect Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by a son Gregory Broughton, four brothers; Albert ?Bill? Reece Miller, Bob Jacob Miller, Horace Parker Miller and Lowell Edward Miller, six sisters;?Joycie Lee Miller, Rebecca Ariana Cole, Estelle Miller Hatley, Lucy Mae Miller, Addie?Ruth Miller and Mary Catherine Jenkins, step-brother, Walter Miller and step-sister,?Jettie Miller Mitchman.
