Jerry Dean Tucker's Obituary
Jerry Tucker, 67, of Locust, NC entered into the arms of Jesus November 24, 2023 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord surrounded by his loving family. A funeral service will be held at Mission Church on Wednesday, November 29, at 2 PM with Pastor Jeremy Hyde officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 till 1:45 at the church prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in Oakboro Cemetery.
Born October 27, 1956 in Cabarrus County, Jerry was the son of the late Curtis E. Tucker, Sr. and Mary Biggers Tucker. Jerry grew up in Locust and graduated from West Stanly High School in 1975. After high school he worked as a diesel and auto mechanic. He later received an Associates Degree from Stanly Community College but was most known for working on cars and his craftsmanship in wood working. Jerry was a member of Mission Church and loved his church family. He deeply cherished his grandchildren and we can celebrate his life knowing Jerry knew Jesus as his personal Savior and is now completely healed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Angie Tucker. He is also survived by a son Matthew Tucker (Hunter) of Oakboro, daughter, Olivia Stamper (Isaiah) also of Oakboro. He is also survived by his brothers, Ron Tucker (Trish) and Gene Tucker (Lou), and grandchildren Portlynd and Zealynd Stamper and Everett (Rhett) Tucker, and a multitude of family members.
