Jerry Steve Smith's Obituary
Jerry Steve Smith, 68, of New London, NC, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at his home. His memorial service will be 4pm Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Silver Star Cowboy Church, 6309 Hwy. 205 N., Marshville, NC 28103, (New Salem Community) with Terry Smith officiating.
Mr. Smith was born January 10, 1955 in Union County, NC to the late Jerry Lee Smith and Rachel Baucom Mullis Smith. He was a member of Post 2908 VFW of Albemarle. Jerry was a pool shark, hunter, and a banjo picker. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson.
Jerry is survived by a daughter, Bridgett Jennifer Morton of Badin; five brothers, Danny Smith, Jeff Smith (Charlene), Scott Smith (Wendy), Tim Smith and Tim Gibbs (Dana); a sister, Susan Smith Burr (Tommy); four grandchildren, Malika, Paris, Calvin, Jamison and Laylani; two great-grandchildren, Jokorria and Jeomari and special friend, Patty Pope.
