Jerry Wayne Hatley's Obituary
Jerry Wayne Hatley, 85, of Badin passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024 in Atrium Health Cabarrus. His memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Delane Burris officiating. The family will greet friends following the service in the sanctuary.
Born December 30, 1938 in Stanly County, NC he was the son of the late William J. Hatley and Clara Belle Holcomb Hatley. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and retired as Maintenance Supervisor with the City of Albemarle Public Housing Authority. Mr. Hatley loved to fish and loved to watch football.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Vonda Cole Hatley, of the home. Other survivors include son David Hatley (Linda) of Badin, sister Linda H. Solymossy (Joseph) of Orlanda FL, 8 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sons Christopher Hatley and Mark Hatley and daughter Jennifer “Nikki” Laster.
